Richard Nixon 1974 White House Signature Card & Letter Set
This 1974 Richard Nixon White House memorabilia set brings together a personalized signature card, an official transmittal letter, and the original postmarked mailing envelope, all associated with the same recipient.
The card is headed "The White House, Washington" and bears a personalized inscription with the words "With best wishes," above a Richard Nixon signature marking. Its personalized presentation makes it a distinctive piece of presidential correspondence.
The accompanying White House letter is dated January 21, 1974 and bears a Roland L. Elliott signature marking above his printed title, "Special Assistant to the President." It thanks the recipient for their confidence and support and states, "I am happy to enclose the autograph you requested." The original mailing envelope completes the group.
Signature disclosure: The accompanying letter documents the White House's response to an autograph request, but does not independently establish how either signature was applied. Personal hand-signing, autopen application, printing, or secretarial signing has not been conclusively verified. The set is offered as historical correspondence with unverified signatures, not as independently authenticated personal autographs.
Listing photographs show the pieces together, the card and letter details, reverse sides, and ruler references. Measurement photographs document size and assist inspection; they are not autograph authentication. Please review the photographs for visible condition, including the letter's fold lines and age-related wear.
Privacy note: The original recipient's name and address have been blurred only in the listing images to protect privacy. These details remain intact on the original physical documents; the originals have not been erased or altered for this purpose.
A cohesive display group for collectors of presidential memorabilia and Nixon-era White House correspondence.
Provenance
This listing comes from a large autograph collection that was assembled primarily during the early years of online autograph trading, with many pieces originally purchased from reputable eBay sellers of the time. The collection was stored in boxes for approximately 10–20+ years before being acquired and sorted. Because of the long storage period and the era in which these items were obtained, many signatures represent earlier or vintage examples of the signer's autograph style. The collection includes a mix of items with original Certificates of Authenticity as well as pieces acquired without paperwork, which is typical of collections built during that period. Any available documentation, purchase notes, or COAs will be included when known. Each item has been individually reviewed and is being offered as part of this larger vintage assortment.
Authenticity & Returns
This set is offered as historical correspondence with unverified signature markings. The markings are not guaranteed to have been personally hand-signed by Richard Nixon or Roland L. Elliott. If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may return the item within 30 days of receipt for a full refund. Items must be returned in the same condition in which they were received. Your satisfaction is our priority at Northwest Cascade Collectibles.
