The two Carter cards offer a compact display pairing for collectors of presidential and First Lady autographs.

Jimmy Carter's signature appears on a white card headed "The White House, Washington." Rosalynn Carter's signature appears beneath a printed message reading "I am pleased to send you the enclosed with my best wishes," with an eagle emblem above. Each card measures approximately 4 x 2.5 inches, as shown alongside the rulers.

The accompanying 1976 letter is Ford-era correspondence bearing the name of Mildred Leonard, Personal Assistant to the President. It explains that President Ford was unable to comply with the recipient's request for a personal signature and that the recipient's cover was being returned. This letter is not signed by Jimmy or Rosalynn Carter and does not establish that their signed cards were enclosed with it. The cards should not be dated to 1976 solely on the basis of this accompanying letter.

Condition: age-related toning and handling wear are visible. The Rosalynn Carter card has prominent diagonal marks across its upper portion, along with discoloration and marks on the reverse. Please examine all photographs for the condition of the cards, letter, and envelope. The collection was stored in boxes for approximately 10–20+ years before being acquired and sorted. Because of the long storage period and the era in which these items were obtained, many signatures represent earlier or vintage examples of the signer's autograph style. The collection includes a mix of items with original Certificates of Authenticity as well as pieces acquired without paperwork, which is typical of collections built during that period. Any available documentation, purchase notes, or COAs will be included when known. Each item has been individually reviewed and is being offered as part of this larger vintage assortment.

Authenticity & Returns

Every autograph we sell is backed by our personal guarantee of authenticity. If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may return the item within 30 days of receipt for a full refund.
